Hoha te Taniwha is a story about a Taniwha who lives in a village on the shores of Lake Rotorua. He is a clever Taniwha who can do anything! He can stand on his head and catch plenty of fish but he has one big problem…. at night he snores so loudly he shakes islands!

This makes the people annoyed at Hoha and he is sent away and even hurt…

However, with some kindness from a little boy called Te Rake and a new place to rest, Hoha happens to spy some impending danger right in time. Hoha goes from being a lonely and banished Taniwha to being the village hero!

CD contains the narration of the story in both Maori and English with 3 waiata composed by Aunty Bea.
