About the Author:
Valetta Sowka (Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Te Arawa) was raised in the Whanganui area, studied at the NZ Film & Television School, and then worked in media overseas for different permaculture institutes. Exploring the natural world with her tamariki brings her alot of joy – learning about plants and flowers and discovering the magic of mushrooms.
About the translator:
Hana Park (Te Ātiawa) is a kaiako reo Māori, teaching our reo rangatira. She loves connecting with nature through gardening, and swimming with her tamariki.
About the Illustrator:
Isobel Te Aho-White (Ngāi Tahu and Ngāti Kahungunu ki te Wairoa) expresses herself and her heritage through a variety of artistic mediums, both digital and traditional.
