About the Author
Witi Ihimaera (Te Aitanga-a-Mahaki, Rongowhakaata & Ngāti Porou with connections to Tūhoe, Te Whānau-a-Apanui, Ngāti Kahungunu and Ngāi Tāmanuhiri) is a New Zealand novelist, short story writer, anthologist and librettist. He was the first Māori writer to publish both a book of short stories and a novel and has published many notable novels and collections of short stories.
