Tāwhaki: The deeds of a demigod – by Hirini Moko Mead, illustrated by Scott Pearson

Similar to Māui, Tāwhaki was a demigod who possessed mighty powers. He miraculously came back to life after he was left for dead by his brothers-in-law. He touched his blind grandmother’s eyes, and she was able to see. And he climbed to the heavens to find his wife Tangotango.

And these are only three of his adventures.
